Officiating certification is renewed annually and usually takes place between August to end of December and is valid until December 31 of the following year.
Once you are registered and certified, you are eligible to have a Horizon account (please reach out to ric@odwhra.ca or megan@odwhra.ca if you have not received information about it). Horizon is the main scheduling platform the assignors use to assign games.
Once you do have access to Horizon, it is important to keep your availability schedule up-to-date as well as block any arenas that you are unable to travel to.

We expect officials to arrive at least 20 minutes prior to their scheduled game time.
If you are unable to make it to your scheduled game, please use the TBA (To Be Assigned) Board function on Horizon. If it is an emergency, and you have tried to get the game covered but there is no one to cover it, then contact one of the assignors.
It is your responsibility first and foremost to attempt to get your game covered.
Please contact your assignor for game-related situations or errors in scheduling or call the Referee Hotline to let them know of the situation.
Please reach out to the Director of Supervision to request more information about getting supervised. (supervision@odwhra.ca)
